| Haha just read the mail chen li sent me....brings back fond memories of the day when terence addressed us as the mugger toads. Hmm up till now she finds toads funny....somehow....sigh I don't get it. Maybe geniuses like her are born to think differently. And yup, I would love to be a real mugger toad, but unfortunately, I'm too lazy to be one. Haiz, we were saying one day that we don't live up to our reputation...guess it's me mostly... I don't know...I just feel so bugged down by SPAs, training, other stuff, that makes my life really hectic, but still I don't feel like I've done anything. During tuesday's civics lesson mrs v was showing us stuff about the 4 quadrants, and that most of us probably belong in the 2nd quadrant, where we keep doing things that are important and urgent....always rushing (personally I hate that feeling) The problem is, when we have more time on our hands, we tend to spend it in the 4th quadrant, like by watching TV, because we want to escape from the tiring schedule. And so the cycle goes on...and we get more tired by the day. Only when holidays come do we actually get to sleep properly. Haiz. Oh yah, how could I forget to mention what real muggers are like? Or rather, what real geniuses are like? I went for the AMC test today (prob flunked it...sigh), and this J1 (note: J1) genius...I think he's called Zhao Yan..... came in with a Feynman Lectures book!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! I was just amazed at him. And this year, the J1s selected outnumbered the J2s. Although the intake is indeed larger, its still quite frightening. I think the J1 batch has great academic potential...unlike me. Haha. AND...it's Bernice's bdae today!!!! Awesome! Happy birthday! Hope she has a great year ahead of her. And that goes for the many years after too! |
